Ingredients
- 4 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced
- 6 tablespoons sugar, divided
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1/2 cup quick-cooking oats
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 3 tablespoons SKIPPY® Creamy Peanut Butter
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 4 cups natural vanilla ice cream
Directions
- Heat oven to 425°F.
- Coat 8×8-inch pan with cooking spray.
- In pan, toss together apples, 2 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle with water.
- In medium bowl, combine oats, flour and remaining 1/4 cup sugar.
- Cut in peanut butter and butter with pastry blender or two knives until mixture is size of small peas.
- Sprinkle crumbs evenly over apples; cover with aluminum foil.
- Bake crisp 20 minutes.
- Remove foil; bake uncovered 20 minutes longer or until apples are tender and topping is crisp and golden.
- Serve warm or at room temperature, topped with ice cream.
